Request for Proposals to Sell Capacity and Energy (RFP)

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company have issued a request for proposals to the power supply market to purchase up to 700 megawatts of generation supply to meet customers' future energy needs.

The companies will consider short-term proposals, ranging from one to five years, and long-term proposals, ranging from 10 to 20 years, from power suppliers for firm capacity and energy that qualify as a Designated Network Resource either as an owned asset for LG&E and KU or through a Power Purchase Agreement.
