In 2013, we're pleased to offer a maximum $250 ChooseWell incentive that rewards individual and companywide wellness participation. It's achieved in three easy steps.
1. Complete wellness activities: From January through September, complete wellness activities on the 2013 ChooseWell menu valued at 100 points. Incentive value: $150.
2. Help boost WellFair participation to 60 percent: From January through April, attend a company health fair - and encourage your co-workers to join you — to increase the employee participation rate to 60 percent. Incentive value: $100.
3. Confirm your wellness points: During the online Open Enrollment period in the fall of 2013, confirm that you've earned 100 wellness points.
If all three of these challenge steps are achieved, you will earn $250 which will be deposited into your 2014 Health Care Reimbursement Account. It's an incredible opportunity with dual benefits: choosing a healthier lifestyle and lowering your personal medical expenses. For employees who are enrolled in Anthem's PPO standard offering, the total $250 wellness incentive is about the cost of a month's pay for family coverage in 2013. Through the ChooseWell incentive, you are essentially earning the equivalent of a month's medical premium.
We care about the well-being of LG&E and KU employees and their families. A safe and healthy workforce is vital to the success of our company, and we are committed to helping you make wellness a priority and rewarding you for your efforts — many of which make a big impact on your well-being without taking a lot of time.
Through healthier choices, we improve our lives at home and work and positively impact our future health care premiums. Review the 2013 ChooseWell menu — which includes many 2012 activities and a few new opportunities — and plan your wellness goals for 2013. Achieving your individual goals will reward you with $150, and greater companywide WellFair participation will result in an additional $100. Let's work together so everyone gets the benefit of the $250 reward. If you have any questions, contact Amanda Elder, Corporate Health & Safety Coordinator, (502) 627-2127.
